Three Time Zones, Six States, One English Honor Society<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s first officers\u2019 meeting of Macalester\u2019s English Honors Society (EHS) looked distinctly different from last spring. Instead of walking up the tile staircase in Old Main and finding a seat in the English lou<\/span>nge, I sat on the worn red couch in my living room, opened my email on my phone, and clicked a Zoom link. The faces of this year\u2019s returning officers\u2014Eric Fong \u201921, Nora Stewert \u201921, and Amy Vandervelde \u201921\u2014popped up on my screen, and I heard the voices of the two other new officers\u2014Dalton Greene \u201922 and Shelby Kruger \u201922\u2014from their respective rectangles.
