Stephanie Alden has over 20 years experience working in the field of science education. She has worked in a variety of settings including higher education, international schools, formal and informal secondary science classrooms, and environmental education centers. 

Stephanie provides individual and group support to students on science topics, learning difficulties, and study strategies. She assists students working on applications for summer research positions and she is responsible for directing a new pilot Supplemental Instruction program in the Chemistry department. Stephanie also supports multiple facets of the Macalester-HHMI Science Research Initiative (MHRI), by working with other staff members of the Science and Research Office (SRO- http://www.macalester.edu/sro) to help students identify and apply for opportunities funded by the MHRI.
