NATIONAL COUNCIL OF GEOGRAPHIC EDUCATION (NCGE) & ASSOCIATION OF AMERICAN GEOGRAPHERS 

(AAG) AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE OF SCHOLARSHIP

The National Council for Geographic Education Award for Excellence of Scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding senior majoring in geography. Note: Each college/university geography department in North America is eligible to submit the name of its outstanding graduating senior. Specific criteria used in identifying nominees are left to the discretion of each department.

HILDEGARD BINDER JOHNSON AWARD

The Hildegard Binder Johnson Prize, named for the founder of the department, is awarded annually to outstanding junior geography majors.

THE GOLDEN SHOVEL
