As the department coordinator, I am responsible for processes that support all aspects of students seeking and conducting internships for academic credit. I collect and share internship opportunities, provide guidance to students, information to community partners, and feedback to faculty. I also provide administrative and logistical support/assistance to the Internship Director. My duties also include managing the budget, website, database management, and I schedule and supervise the department’s student employees.
I joined the Internship Program in April 2013. I have worked in higher education for more than ten years and have been at several different institutions including, Iowa State University, University of St. Thomas, and Hamline University. I received my bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and master’s degree in Social Responsibility from St. Cloud State University.
I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and two young children and relaxing at our family cabin during the summer months. In addition, I currently volunteer with the League of Women Voters – St. Paul as their membership chair.
