Early Spring PHYSICAL activity Classes: - to sign up ONLINE
Sign-up and registration begins Thursday, January 22 and is through an online process. Classes begin the week of February 2, 2015. Each class must have a minimum of 10 participants for the class to take place.
The 6-week series of classes have a registration fee of $20 for students and $25 for faculty and staff. If that class meets more often, the registration fee may be higher and is noted by the class description.
Boot Camp - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:05 - 12:55 pm, February 3 - March 12, 2105.
A fun, high energy class with ever changing routines aimed at incorporating cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, and core strength. This is an advanced class that involves low impact jumping, running, and interval training. Because this class meets twice per week, the fee is $40 for faculty/staff.

Circuit Training - Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:05 - 12:55 pm, February 2 - March 11, 2015.
Resistance training that provides a total body strength workout and elevates the heart rate. Because this class meets twice per week, the fee is $40 for faculty and staff.

Mindfulness - Thursdays, 12:05 - 12:55 pm, February 5 - March 12, 2015.
Come and learn how mindfulness can help us weather the storms of our lives with more calm, acceptance and compassion. This class is open to everyone, whether you are new to mindfulness or you would like to revitalize or deepen your meditation practice. Participants will learn ways to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives, including silent and guided meditations, compassion practices, and breath awareness. This class is for faculty and staff only. Class meets in Leonard Center classroom (room 36).

Pilates - Tuesdays, 12:05 - 12:55 pm, February 3 - March 10, 2015.
Strengthen and lengthen with Pilates. This mat class will help you develop abdominal strength and control, while creating a connection between your core and the rest of your body. The exercises emphasize proper breathing, precise alignment, and efficient sequencing of movement. Mats are available or feel free to bring your own. All levels welcome. Class meets in Studio 1.

Step Aerobics - Mondays, 11:40 - 12:30 pm, February 2 - March 9, 2015.
Exercise along with the fun beat of music that will work your whole body and sweat you good! The exercises routine starts out with an easy-to-follow, basic choreograph. Each week new steps will be added onto the basic steps to create a combo routine. This class involves a lot of bouncing and jumping on the step at times. No previous experience is required.

Yoga Barre - Fridays, 12:05 - 12:55 pm, February 6 - March 13. 2015.
Yoga Barre class is a combination of the stretching and toning movements of Pilates and Yoga with the strengthening and sculpting principles of ballet. You will use small isometric movements to target and tone every muscle in your body. This class is accessible for all levels and beginners are always welcome. Dress as you would for a yoga practice- no so socks or shoes are needed. Props and mats are provided for this practice.

Yoga - Wednesdays, 12:05 - 12:55 pm, February 4- March 11. 2015.
Learn yoga basics in this beginner-friendly hatha yoga class. Explore alignment principles of specific poses (asanas) and experience more flowing movement sequences (vinyasa). Increase strength, flexibility, and body awareness, and leave feeling more calm and refreshed. Mats are available or feel free to bring your own. Class meets in Studio 1.

Join a CorePower trained yoga teacher for a power Vinyasa flow. This invigorating class connects breath and movement through a dynamic and intelligently designed series of postures, emphasizing body awareness and mindfulness. Set to music, this practice will leave you energized and refreshed. Mats are available or feel free to bring your own. Class meets in Studio 1.

Summer 2014 Faculty and Staff chair massage
WHAM and Employment Services are offering a pilot project this summer, 25 minute chair massage for $30. Appointments are available for faculty and staff by Massage Therapist, Scott Miller, in the Leonard Center Wellness Lounge.
Appointment Dates and Times: June 10, July 8, and August 12 - every thirty minutes, with the first appointment at 11:00 am and last appointment at 1:30 pm.
- Limited to one per faculty/staff for the summer. No students or plus ones allowed for this pilot program.
- This is only available through online registration with credit card payment.
- No refunds will be offered if cancellation is made less than 10 days prior to massage date. If cancelling massage, send refund requests by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
