January Classes

We are pleased to offer a three-week series of Circuit Training and Yoga during January. Registration will be open the first week in December and run through January 2.

Classes begin the week of January 6, 2020.

Registration Process

Our registration platform has been updated and all participants will need to register for an account.  1) Select your class, 2) Click on the person icon in the upper right corner, 3) Click Register, 4) Complete the registration page and click Create Account, 5) Select Continue Shopping.  If you have questions, please contact Annie McBurney at amcburne@macalester.edu or 651-696-6284.

Registration Options

We now offer a Flex Pass and a Semester Pass for our Boot Camp and Circuit Training participants.

$40 Flex Pass: Allows you to attend any two Boot Camp or Circuit Training classes per week during Session 1 Fall Semester.  If you can only make it to one class one week, you may not go to three classes another week.  Taylor Ulrich is the instructor for both classes.  We will notify him about who has registered for this option.

$80 Semester Pass: Allows you to register once for both Session 1 & 2 of the Fall Semester.  For now, this option is only available to Circuit Training and Boot Camp participants.

The standard 6-session classes have a registration fee of $25 for faculty and staff. If a class meets more than that, the registration fee may be higher and is noted by the class description.  If classes do not have the mandatory minimum enrollment (10 or more people), the class may be cancelled.  You will be notified and refunded if we cancel the class.  Please note:  Refunds are only available up to the first day of class, with no exceptions.

Circuit Training – Monday & Wednesday, 12:05 – 12:50 pm, Fitness Center, January 6 – January 24 (No class on January 21, make-up will be on Friday, January 24)
Resistance training that provides total body strength, endurance, core strength, and cardiovascular fitness.  Participants are able to work at their own pace and push themselves based on their goals and fitness level. Because this class meets twice per week for 3 weeks, the standard pass is $25.

Yoga – Tuesday & Thursday, 12:05 – 12:50 pm, Studio 1, January 7 – January 23, 2020
Learn yoga basics in this beginner-friendly hatha yoga class.  Explore alignment principles of specific poses (asanas) and experience more flowing movement sequences (vinyasa).  Increase strength, flexibility, and body awareness, and leave feeling more calm and refreshed. Cost is $25.
