GET STARTED WITH THE MACALESTER PART 1
Seniors and transfer applicants can begin their application by submitting the Macalester Part 1. Regardless of whether you apply Early Decision or Regular Decision, this is a great first step in applying to Mac. You will receive login information for your applicant portal, enabling you to see your current application status and get communication designed to keep you on track.
In keeping with Macalester’s values of internationalism and multiculturalism, the college welcomes applications from around the world. For the purpose of applying to Macalester, students are considered international applicants if their citizenship is of a country other than the United States. Students with dual citizenship with the United States or who have permanent residency are not considered international applicants. Undocumented/DACA students, or students who identify as a refugee, displaced person, asylum seeker, or stateless person, are welcomed at Macalester. Learn more.

You will receive your Applicant Portal username and password when you submit the Macalester Part 1, the Common Application, or are part of the QuestBridge Program.
