"A Curious Optimist: The Art of Non-Linear Career Choices," A Talk with Art Psychotherapist Marie Deschamps '04

Bring your lunch and join art psychotherapist, Marie Deschamps Class of 2004, exploring the concept of non-linear career and multi-disciplinary education.

In a nutshell, Marie graduated from Macalester in 2004 (political science major, premed, gender minor) and after a very non-linear trajectory that took her working for an NGO in Senegal, doing a Master in Public Affairs at London School of Economics, being a full-time artist and interviewing optimists around the world... to studying innovation with MIT and now being a researcher, professor and art psychotherapist.

The goal is to create a space where students feel like it's ok to be interested in more than one field and consider creativity as an important quality for career building and networking.
