Career Workshop in France and Francophone Countries

Have you ever wondered how to get a job or internship in France or in a Francophone Country? Then this workshop is for you!

The French and Francophone way of doing business is closely connected to culture, and international businessmen and women sometimes make mistakes that end up souring a deal before it's begun. Our goal is to help you avoid awkward situations.

We will show you examples of a French resume and if you need to create one, we will work on helping you create a “C.V.” in French that can be used for French and Francophone companies. We will also help you figure out what to include in a resume if you don’t have much “on-the-job” experience. We will look at standard cover letters (lettres de motivation) and discuss how to present yourself and if needed, how to conduct interviews, giving you some basic tips to avoid common pitfalls during your interview.

We will look at some cultural differences in the workplace. But most importantly, if you have a specific need or question, we will work around your own needs.

  • How to write a resume (“C.V.”), in French

  • How to write a cover letter, in French

  • How to interview, present yourself in French and English

  • Work around your specific questions

Please bring a draft of your resume or any other document you want to use to the workshop so that we can assist you on ways to improve it.

Please RSVP on or before October 10.
