Earlham College Border Studies Program Open Advising

Interested in studying away on Earlham College Border Studies Program? Program representative will hold open advising on Wednesday, October 30, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the lover level of Markim Hall/Kofi Annan IGC. 


Earlham College's Border Studies Program (BSP) is a semester-long study away program based in Tucson, Arizona that traverses the U.S./Mexico border. Students explore topics such as transnational migration, neoliberal globalization, the militarization of policing, and struggles for environmental justice, ethnic studies, and indigenous rights. The program provides hands-on experience in contemporary justice struggles and an expansive curriculum that valorizes grassroots knowledge and challenges students to understand and articulate the context and implications of their own positionalities. The program consists of homestays, internships in grassroots and/or non-profit organizations and excursions as well as a rigorous academic curriculum.
