Macalester College welcomes three distinguished alumni to its Board of Trustees: Jonathan D. Andrews ’94, a mediator at Signature Resolution; James D. Migdal ’86, vice president of business development at Stealth; and Gülüm Özüstün Williams ’92, a global leader in business and organizational strategy.
Jonathan D. Andrews ’94 is a nationally recognized mediator and trial attorney. At Signature Resolution he works to provide value for all sides with his empathetic, creative, and people-focused approach. A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Law and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law, Andrews has earned repeated honors, including being named one of San Diego’s Top 50 Super Lawyers. He and his wife, Dawn, are longtime supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego, where he serves on the board.
James D. Migdal ’86 brings decades of experience in tech and strategic partnerships to the Board of Trustees. Prior to his role at Stealth, he led the expansion of the cryptocurrency ecosystem as vice president of business development at Coinbase. His career has included leadership roles at Facebook, eBay, and Microsoft, with expertise spanning product partnerships and go-to-market strategy. Outside of tech, Migdal is a long supporter of the arts and previously served as chair of the Palo Alto, California Public Art Commission.
Gülüm Özüstün Williams ’92 is a visionary leader in operational strategy and large-scale transformation efforts. Her career spans roles in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and strategic planning at the Boston Consulting Group. Most recently she’s driven initiatives to improve operational and organizational effectiveness at Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm, and Marketbridge, a go-to-market growth firm. A Macalester graduate in economics and international studies, Williams also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
