The Rev. Dr. Hannah Adams Ingram provides leadership for the Center for Religious and Spiritual Life as the College Chaplain and Associate Dean for Institutional Equity at Macalester. Her favorite part of the work is to be present for folks in the highs and lows of life–honoring their inherent human worth and reminding them of their connection to community. Chaplain Hannah is deeply interested in everything that makes us human and eagerly looks for the connections between everyday life, spirituality, and community. She is a graduate of Anderson University (BA), Emory University (MTS), and the joint doctoral program of University of Denver and Iliff School of Theology (PhD). She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, a graduate of the Phoenix Center for Spiritual Direction Apprenticeship Program, and the author of The Myth of the Saving Power of Education (2021). She served as a College Chaplain in Franklin, Indiana before moving to St. Paul with her spouse and young daughter. The whole family loves cooking, baking, music, playgrounds, and exploring new places.
