At Macalester, you can begin learning Russian from scratch — no prior experience required. Our program combines engaging coursework with a supportive atmosphere, along with immersive language experiences in the local Russian-speaking community. Macalester regularly offers Russian at the Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Study abroad programs provide additional opportunities to develop your knowledge of Russian.
