A native of Catalonia, Spain, Toni Dorca is a specialist in modern and contemporary Spanish literature who has published extensively in the area of 19th-century prose fiction. His most recent book is Las dos caras de Jano: la Guerra de la Independencia como materia novelable en Galdós (Iberoamericana: 2015). He is currently working on a book-length manuscript centered on the literary representation of the reign of Ferdinand VII (1814-1833) in Galdós’s series II of Episodios nacionales.
