Why I chose Admissions
I got into Admissions because, as a first-generation student, I didn’t have many resources or support as I was navigating the college search. This led me to want to provide all other students with the type of support that I didn’t always have. I feel grateful that I get to help students discover their potential, as well as be a resource for students and families throughout the (challenging) college search process.

Community Involvement
Prior to joining Macalester, I served as an Admission Counselor at Hamline University shortly after graduating from there. Before working in Admissions, I was heavily involved in the New Student Mentor program during my time as a student there, where I led orientation programming and helped provide support for first-years during their first semester as they transitioned to college!

Favorite time at Mac
My favorite time at Mac is, without a doubt, the spring. I love seeing campus regain its colorfulness as the trees and flowers (and students) come back to life after winter!

Love about the Twin Cities
I love that the Twin Cities provide a space for everyone. The artist, sports fanatic, musician, and foodie all have a home here! The diversity of activities and of our community present plenty of opportunities to learn and explore. I’ve lived here my whole life and I’m still constantly finding new things to do!
