The Macalester community is invited to the Kofi Annan Institute for Global Citizenship Annual Spring Celebration in the Weyerhaeuser Boardroom, Tuesday, April 16, 4:30-6 p.m. (Refreshments will be served.)

We will celebrate the accomplishments of the offices and partners of the Kofi Annan IGC: Community Engagement Center, the Center for Study Away, and the IGC Dean’s Office. You'll hear from this year's three recipients of the Global Citizenship Student Award and celebrate community partnerships, student, staff, and faculty achievements.

The Global Citizenship Student Award, presented annually to graduating seniors who demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and practice of high academic performance, internationalism, multiculturalism, and civic engagement. The recipients of the 2024 award are Hufsa Ahmed, Anika Brennan and Uditi Chandrashekhar. Although all share in having a remarkable level of engagement with local, national, and international communities, each has followed a unique path developing as a global citizen.

The recipients will be sharing their personal experiences with global citizenship during the annual Kofi Annan IGC Annual Celebration on Tuesday, April 16th at 4:30 p.m. in the Weyerhaeuser Boardroom.
