Digital Liberal Arts Project Showcase

Please join us for our first annual Digital Liberal Arts (DLA) showcase on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 3:30-5 p.m. in the library. Faculty/staff/student teams will give five-minute lightning talks about digital projects from a range of disciplines, including Studio Art, the Civic Engagement Center, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, Geography, German, and History. There are faculty research projects, course assignments, public-facing work, cross-disciplinary efforts, open-access resources, and projects in which students play a prominent collaborative role. Some are fully-realized projects to provide big inspiration, and some are in very early stages to give you a sense of manageable entry points. The break-out-session style Q&A gives attendees an opportunity to learn more about individual projects and see demonstrations. We will begin in the Harmon Room and circulate through Library 250 and 254 as well. Light refreshments provided. Bring your curiosity. Attend all or part of the event.
