Thanks to the Twin Cities Activation Fund, Macalester is now a part of the Walker’s incredible College & University Partner’s program. Thanks to this agreement with the Walker, all Macalester students, staff, and faculty (anyone with a Macalester ID) can visit the Walker as many times as they would like, free of charge. Art+Feminism builds a community of activists that is committed to closing information gaps related to gender, feminism, and the arts, beginning with Wikipedia. Macalester hosted an event dedicated to increasing representation of women and nonbinary artists in Wikipedia articles on March 28th, 2026. Our Wikipedia Meet-Up page is still available.
We screened Mairéad McClean’s Acts of Memory and hosted a virtual Q&A with the filmmaker. Rabi Michael-Crushshon ’26 wrote about the event in the English Department’s Newsletter.
