Student Employment

Macalester College’s Student Employment Program exists to provide employment opportunities that offer students both financial assistance and professional development.

The Program affords students the opportunity to build skills for career readiness while focusing on coursework in addition to providing a talented workforce for the College.

Macalester employs nearly 1,300 students in over 200 different positions each academic year. Students are able to gain experience in a variety of areas, from facility management to tutoring to office work.

Student Employee New Hire Paperwork

Before a student can start working on campus, they will need to complete the following items:

Action Item #1: Form I-9
- Complete Section 1 electronically
Action Item #2: Bring your acceptable documents to the Student Employment Office
Action Item #3: Complete Direct Deposit and W4 Tax Form
Action Item #4: Sign the Student Employment Confidentiality Agreement, Handbook, Healthcare Acknowledgement & Information Disclosure Authorization (eform)
