Pathways to Peace

Background

In November 2024, Macalester’s Board of Trustees approved a series of institutional investments in peacemaking and conflict resolution, after carefully considering the student group Mac for Palestine’s divestment proposal. As part of that approval, the Board of Trustees allocated $100,000 from the college’s unrestricted reserves to endow in perpetuity an annual “Pathways to Peace” lecture or event. The KAIGC led the planning for the first event, which took place in the 2025-26 academic year.
