Professor Weber’s teaching and scholarly interests are in international relations and global governance. Specific areas of interest include: migration; humanitarian action; and women, peace and security. Her courses include: Foundations of International Politics; Global Governance; The Politics of Migration Control; Humanitarianism in World Politics; Women, Peace and Security; and the Senior Research Seminar in Political Science.
In 2024, Professor Weber was the recipient of the Jack and Marty Rossmann Excellence in Teaching Award, presented each spring to a faculty member who has been identified by colleagues and students as exemplifying the teaching goals of Macalester, and also a Macalester College Trustee Award, for exemplary achievement in teaching, scholarship, and/or service to the Macalester or professional community.
Professor Weber is the faculty advisor to Pi Sigma Alpha, the director of the Amy Ostermeier Summer Fellowship Program, a member of the Human Rights and Humanitarianism steering committee, Macalester’s Faculty Athletics Representative, and the faculty liaison to the Macalester Baseball Team.
