Spring 2026 SAC Elections

SAC Election Process

The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) holds elections each Spring for any vacant representative seats.

  • General Timeline

    The SAC election timeline will follow these general markers:

    • February: SAC inventories openings and makes campus partners aware of upcoming election
    • March: SAC sends nomination form to campus
    • April: SAC sends election ballots to divisional lines
    • May: Election results posted; New Members Onboarded
    • June: New Members Roll On; Members whose terms expire roll off

  • Spring 2026 Elections

    Nominate yourself and/or your Macalester staff colleagues to serve on the Staff Advisory Council (SAC). Service in this role offers meaningful opportunities to learn more about Macalester, participate in campus governance, and connect with staff across campus.

    SAC is seeking nominations for the following reporting lines and vacancies:

    • Administration and Finance: 1 vacancy
    • Advancement: 1 vacancy
    • Admissions: 1 vacancy
    • Institutional Equity: 1 vacancy
    • Provost Line (including Student Affairs and Academic Affairs): 3 vacancies

    To nominate yourself or a colleague, please use the nomination form (accessible only by mac.edu email addresses). Form closes on March 27, 2026 at 5:00 PM. 

    Nominees will be contacted to confirm their willingness to serve before being placed on the election ballot. Reporting line-specific ballots will then be shared for voting from April 16-24.
