Friday, March 31st from 5:30-7:30 is the English department Apps & Alums event! This event is hosted by the English Honors Society and is a great way to meet and chat with Macalester English department alums. Come for a great time and lots of delicious snacks!
This coming Tuesday, March 7th from 11:30-1 is the Marta Werner Lunch talk. Sponsored by English professor James Dawes, Marta Werner is Martin J. Svaglic Chair of Textual Studies at Loyola University Chicago. She will be discussing Emily Dickinson and her current work exploring land-sound and weatherscapes of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The talk will be in the Harmon Room of the library. Light lunch provided!
On March 31st, Macalester College will host the Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities English Conference. ACTC includes Macalester, Hamline, St. Catherine, St. Thomas, and Augsburg University, and students from all colleges will present their work in the English and Creative writing. Come support your fellow English students and learn about their work!
