On Friday, April 21st family, friends and professors packed the Harmon room to celebrate the English Seniors who Honors Projects this year. There was record high attendance to support and hear from presenters, Anna Sverclova, Hugh Gabriel, Lenny Prater, Colleen Apostle, and Ella Deutchman – all of whom undertook ambitious, year long creative writing projects with the support of individual faculty advisors. Projects ranged from poems of grief and family, to sci-fi and fantasy novels, and explorations of delight in community. Presenters explained their creative processes and read excerpts from their work with humor, passion and joy. Along with some delicious snacks, it was a great way to celebrate the hard work and achievements of all five students and to learn about all of the exceptional work done by English majors!
