Our monthly “Wordplay” article is back, baby! To kick off the year, The Words reached out to Tyler Sanchez ‘24. Tyler is a senior psychology major and English minor from Chicago, Illinois. He very kindly shared a lighthearted piece with us for this issue. Thanks Tyler!

Choccy Milk

Oh finest chocolatey goop
Your very nature would make my stomach quease
But now, belly much stronger, I drink you with ease
No skim, a level I cannot stoop

You’re always so sweet; I pout when done
Though, some claim you cause osteoporosis
But hey, that’s no fun
I love you so, Choccy, no matter the diagnosis

Oh wait, who is this??
With oats so fine, will this be my new bliss?
And with no animal here nor there, it seems very fair
But to betray Choccy? I think I must dare.
