Mission Statement

The purpose of the Visual Resources Library (VRL) is to serve, support, and enhance the research and visual literacy scholarship of the students, staff, and faculty of Macalester College. The VRL aims to use its resources to promote visual literacy as it relates to education, growth, and pedagogical change while coinciding with the values, goals, and mission of Macalester College.

Overview

The VRL holds a variety of slides for research and maintains a small library of books and videos on art and art history.  The VRL also holds digital equipment for use in classes and lectures.  We provide a variety of services and resources including:
