Learning Workday – Week 3 (June 28-July 4, 2026)
Learning a new system can take some time and may feel overwhelming. We recommend learning one step at a time and as each new Workday First occurs. This page offers what is transitioning to Workday this week with links to supporting resources.
Dates to know This Week
- Monday, June 29
- Timesheet approvals for biweekly staff due in Workday by end of day June 29.
- If students were not able to enter their time, supervisors should enter the time on their behalf which will also approve the time in the same step.
- Where to go for help: There are open office hours today (Monday June 29) from 9:00am-4:30pm in Humanities 315 for timesheet approval questions. You can also log enter a Workday Request Ticket.
- First Year Students will have Workday access to apply for campus jobs.
- Timesheet approvals for biweekly staff due in Workday by end of day June 29.
- Tuesday, June 30
- Exempt (salaried) employees will receive their last monthly paycheck out of Banner/1600grand.
- Wednesday, July 1
- First day to enter expense reports for Pcards and out-of-pocket reimbursement.
- New Pcard transactions will start showing up in Workday, not Wells Fargo. Transactions in Workday will be reconciled in Workday.
- You can use the Business Service’s Workday Lookup Tool to help translate a FOAPALs.
- First day to request payments for invoices and Standard Engagement Contracts (SECs).
- Exempt (salaried) staff can start entering known time off, including college holidays, in Workday. Unplanned time off can be added upon return to work.
- First day to enter expense reports for Pcards and out-of-pocket reimbursement.
- Thursday, July 2
- Biweekly staff will receive their first paycheck out of Workday and can view their payslip.
- Friday, July 3 (Independence Day Observed)
- All staff (exempt and nonexempt) eligible for paid time off should enter July 3 as Holiday Paid time off.
- Reminder: Time worked and time off are entered in different places. To enter time off, use Manage Absence on your Workday homepage.
- Next week: Any transaction in Wells Fargo needs to be reconciled and approved by July 10.
- All staff (exempt and nonexempt) eligible for paid time off should enter July 3 as Holiday Paid time off.
