The presentation focused on how Workday’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system will affect faculty.

Macalester’s Workday implementation will take place in two phases over a three year period.

Phase 1 Changes: Human Resources and Finance (First Year)
- Faculty will see changes in how they approve time, hire student workers, view budgets, manage finances (FOAPAL), and view payroll. Faculty can expect P-card reconciliation to change in Summer 2026.
Phase 2 Changes: Student Systems (Second and Third Year)
- Phase 2 will bring changes to student records, course registration, and scheduling processes on the faculty side. Phase 1 will begin later in Summer 2026. More details will follow later.
What About the Systems You Already Use?
- Many of the software systems faculty use are independent of Banner, but do receive data from Banner (e.g., Moodle, advising dashboard, annual addendum, library resources). Most of these systems will not change on the user (faculty) side.
