Why I chose Admissions and Financial Aid
I started out in admissions as an ambassador. I soon discovered that admissions and financial aid is really about advocacy. I enjoy working with students and families from diverse backgrounds as well as colleagues who believe in access and equity in higher education.

Community Involvement
I have extensive experience working with and advocating for students from diverse backgrounds through student-centered processes, collaboration, and intentional partnership. I currently serve as a Communications Committee Co-Chair on the Minnesota Association of Counselors of Color (MnACC) Executive Board. Additionally, I am a member of the 2020-21 cohort of College Board’s Midwestern Region Enrollment Leadership Academy (ELA).

Favorite time of the year at Mac
As a Californian, I am amazed by all the opportunities to explore outdoors and learn more about the history and culture of the area. In the summer months, my wife and I frequently take our pups to the local parks and enjoy kayaking on the many lakes right here in the Twin Cities. During the winter, there are still many things to do – cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating, ice fishing. I appreciate that there’s always an adventure just miles from me.

Love about the Twin Cities
There is so much to explore. I love getting to know the area, finding  outdoor places to venture, and learning something new about the Twin Cities every time I go out.
