Why I chose Admissions
I remember reading The Gatekeepers: Inside the Admissions Process of a Premier College and being really interested in the work of admissions officer. I have always loved talking with prospective students about college and Macalester. I got into Admissions to help students in the college process and speak one on one about college life. I also seek to create an affirming welcoming space for marginalized communities who may have not had access to post-secondary education. I am excited to get know students, and you can find a bright smile and warm laugh when meeting me.

Community Involvement
While a student at Macalester, I was a Mellon Mays Fellow where I conducted research on The Black Aquatic Tradition. I sought to learn more about the impacts of aquatics on Black Minnesotans. This was an incredibly informative project as I conducted interviews and surveys with Minnesota swimmers.

Favorite time of year at Mac
Spring is my favorite time of the year. You can always find students hanging out in the lawn, reading books, talking to friends, or dancing near the library. It’s especially awesome because the sun is out and people are enjoying the weather.

Love about the Twin Cities
The Twin Cities is a great place to go on nature walks, try new restaurants, watch sports, and hear concerts. I have great memories of going to Minnehaha Falls with Macalester friends and family during the summer and winter. Also the Twin Cities has so many global and local artists who come to Minnesota. I had a great time visiting Target Center to watch J. Cole’s Fall Off Tour, and even see the Minnesota Lynx and Minnesota Timberwolves.
