Why I chose Admissions and Financial Aid
My passion for Admissions and Financial Aid comes from a love of the Liberal Arts and a commitment to access and excellence. It is incredibly rewarding to help students identify their goals, determine where may be a good fit for them academically and socially, and work to ensure the highest quality education possible at an accessible cost. It is for this reason, I am proud to be a member of the Macalester community and look forward to working with prospective and admitted students everyday.

Community Involvement
Before joining the Macalester Admissions team, I served as an Admission Counselor at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN where I served as an Inclusive Recruitment Coordinator working to help diversify and expand the Gustavus community as part of the college’s strategic goals. I’m active in the Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling as a member of the Inclusion, Access, and Success committee.

Favorite time of the year at Mac
I love each fall when our current students return, and especially when our new Macalester community members join us on first-year move in day. The energy on campus is wonderful and it is a joy to say hello to each student as they arrive.

Love about the Twin Cities
The Greenway is amazing! It is a must see for any outdoor enthusiast. Having grown up in a rural community and now living in the 3.5 million metro area, I can say with confidence that we have the best of both worlds. Vibrant diverse neighborhoods, green spaces you can lose yourself in, fantastic food, and a whole lot of art make the Twin Cities a great place to call home.
