Dinosaurs
Professor Kristi Curry Rogers (Biology and Geology)
Dinosaurs dominated Earth’s landscapes for nearly 200 million years, and then seemingly vanished in one of the “big-five” mass extinctions that punctuate the history of life. In this course we’ll “dig in” to explore dinosaurs in their world and examine their evolution, biology, and behavior.
Vampires: From Monsters to Superheroes

Vampirism can be used as a metaphor for almost anything—from the plague to sexuality to addiction. What can the examination of vampires tell us about the context in which they were created?

We are in the middle of a historic swell of activism taking place throughout the world. This class will discuss the ingredients of collective action and value of cohesive demands.
Sounding the Starry Vault: Beethoven and Kant’s Sublime
Professor Mark Mazullo (Music)
Through guided discussion and brief piano performances, Professor Mazullo will introduce participants to Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 32, the writings of Immanuel Kant, and exploration of the far reaches of the universe in this sample class sure to delight all guests, regardless of prior musical knowledge.
