Discussion and Chai Time w/ MASECA and Documentarian Anand Patwardhan

Anand Patwardhan, one of India’s premier documentary filmmakers, will be on campus on the heels of the International Roundtable. Students interested in the Roundtable theme may find a number of his films of interest and can watch any of them by going to the library online catalog. – Patwardhan’s films explore the rise of religious fundamentalism, sectarianism and casteism in India, while others investigate nuclear nationalism and unsustainable development.

On Sunday afternoon, the student organization for South Asian Students, MASECA, will host an informal session with the filmmaker. Students and faculty who have watched any of his films are welcome to come and discuss. Chai and refreshments will be served!
