DML Movie Night

October is LGBTQIA+ History and Pride Month: a time to honor and reflect on the LGBTQIA+ community's monumental accomplishments throughout their struggle toward liberation and justice, as well as the liberation of other oppressed peoples.

In honor of LGBTQIA+ History and Pride Month, the DML will be showing Rafiki, a movie depicting the romance between two young Kenyan women, despite familial and political pressures surrounding LGBTQIA+ rights in Kenya. We hope to engage in a brief discussion afterwards to talk about our thoughts and reactions to the film.

Light refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome.
