Black History Month: Keynote Speaker Dr. Rose Brewer

Please join us for the Black History Month Keynote Lecture, "Black Movement Sustainability: Study & Struggle for the Long Haul," delivered by Dr. Rose Brewer. This event will ask everyone present to engage thoughtfully in conversation with one another, and in relation to Dr. Brewer's lecture. The following is a brief description, offered by Dr. Brewer, of her talk: "The struggle for Black liberation is a long one. The history, present, and possible futures must anchor our vision and practice.

In this difficult period of intense white nationalism, racist reaction, attacks on Black Studies and lives, understanding earlier histories, organizing, and ongoing resistance is foundational to how we strategize to win. The praxis of freedom is for the long haul."

Masks are required for this event.
