EnviroThursday - "Cooking in Two Worlds"

Speaker:   Brian Yazzie, Diné Chef

Brian Yazzie will speak on the contemporary cuisine of indigenous flavors from pre- to post-reservation.  He will cover the decolonized movement and reflect on the actual accessibility of organic ingredients to community members, especially those in rural areas without means to markets.

Brian Yazzie (a.k.a. Yazzie the Chef) is a Diné Chef from Dennehotso, Arizona, which is located on the northeastern party of the Navajo Nation.  He currently resides in Richfield, MN, and has a degree in Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts from Saint Paul College.
