Faculty Personnel Committee
The Faculty Personnel Committee is composed of six tenured faculty members, at least three of whom have reached the rank of full professor, plus the Provost and the Dean of the Faculty. Election to the FPC is for a two-year term.
Primary duties of the Faculty Personnel Committee include:
- Faculty reviews for pre-tenure reappointment, tenure and promotion to full professor
- Developing recommendations regarding policy and procedures for faculty reviews
- Serve as the committee of informal inquiry in cases of proposed termination or dismissal for cause of faculty
- Serve as the Committee on Committees by recommending faculty appointments to various non-elected committees on campus, and supervising elections
