Compostable Dishware Program

In cooperation with the Sustainability Office, Macalester Student Government, and Business Services, Mailing Services offers wholesale-priced compostable dishware when you need it.

Faculty, staff, and student organizations may request necessary quantities of compostables through the Compostable Dishware Order Google Form.  

Orders will normally be filled within 24 hours.

If you have a rush order, please submit the form as well as email Mailing Services at [email protected].

Faculty/Staff orders will be delivered to the department. If you are a faculty or staff member with a private SPO, you will get an email notification to claim the items at the service window.

Student org orders will receive an email notification when the order has been approved and is ready for pick up at Mailing Services.

As part of Macalester’s Zero Waste Goals, MCSG has made the compostable dishware free of charge to student organizations.

For smaller events, please consider borrowing a reusable dishkit from the Macalester Sustainability Office. Plates and mugs can be ordered via this form.
