“It was a wonderful day in the department!” Chair John Cannon announced today, 25 April 2019, that Dr. Anna Williams will join the Physics and Astronomy Department on a tenure-track appointment beginning 1 September. She is a great addition to the department and “we look forward to many years of teaching and researching alongside her.” A departmental t-shirt was created to commemorate this occasion. As one of her first projects in the department, Anna is leading Macalester’s effort to organize the “Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics 2020” in January 2020.
