The U.S. National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (NSF REU) program supports intensive research by undergraduate students in any area of research funded by NSF.
Fourteen undergraduate grants of $5,000 for Psi Chi members to conduct summer research under the supervision of a faculty member who is also a member of Psi Chi.
The University of Colorado Boulder hosts the Summer Multicultural Access to Research Training (SMART) program, offering 10-week summer research internships for rising juniors and seniors.
The UCLA Brain Research Institute (BRI) sponsors a summer undergraduate research experience (BRI-SURE) pathway program for students currently participating in honors research programs at other colleges and universities across the nation. BRI-SURE is an 8-week, hybrid, intensive summer training for exceptional students seeking to pursue research careers in Neuroscience or Physiology.

The Summer Research Initiative (SRI) is open to all undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in colleges and universities in the United States. In addition, the program is also interested in encouraging and enhancing the diversity of scholars in the behavioral and social sciences. The SRI was created in 1999 by the Office of the Dean in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS). The program is designed to encourage and enhance the diversity of scholars working in social and behavioral science, practice, teaching, and policy fields. We are most interested in students who plan to pursue doctoral degrees in the behavioral and social sciences.
UROC (pronounced you-rock) is administered by the University of Arizona Graduate College. UROC is an umbrella for a number of undergraduate programs and provides participants with research training and graduate (Master’s and PhDs) school preparation.
Established over four decades ago, the University of Michigan Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) is designed for outstanding undergraduate students who are underrepresented in their field of study.

The super fellowship program is designed to promote access among undergraduate students considering research as a career by expanding opportunities to laboratory training and mentorship to those who may not have had the opportunity to lead psychological science research.
The mission of the Institute for Broadening Participation is to expand the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workforce. Since 2003, IBP has connected students from groups known to be underrepresented in STEM, with funding and research opportunities, and has provided faculty and administrators with tools and resources to help promote the positive factors that keep students on the STEM pathway into successful STEM careers.
