Gender Inclusive Housing Options

Gender Inclusive Spaces on-campus

Starting in fall 2023, we will use an all-gender campus housing model. This gives students the option to reside and live with other student(s) regardless of sex, gender and/or gender identity, and have access to all-gender bathrooms. Additionally, this model supports our gender needs and allows Residential Life to have facilities and a program that is rooted in universal design. While the majority of our residence halls and buildings will be all-gender housing, there will be some floors and spaces that will have gender-specific spaces and bathrooms. All students will be able to select the housing arrangements that best fit their needs and live in a safe and comfortable living environment. Please reach out with any specific questions you may have.

Single Gender Spaces

If you are interested in living in a single gender space (Female/ Male binary) we still have some communities that may fit your needs. Please see the specific placements below:

Single gender spaces for Upper Division students (Sophomores, Juniors, and Senior) are located in Bigelow Hall.

For Academic Year 2024-2025:

Upper division Female Spaces: Bigelow 2 and Bigelow 3

Upper Division Male Spaces: Bigelow 0 (basement)

Single gender spaces for First Year students are located in Doty Hall.

First year Female Spaces: Doty 5 & Doty 4

First year Male Spaces: Doty 3

Bathroom Inventory

Our bathrooms may change as our student population grows and changes! Because we to share the most accurate information, we have created a Bathroom Inventory. This includes all single gender and gender inclusive bathrooms that we have in each traditional residence hall. This page will also let you know what bathroom is closest to a community should you (or other community members) need to use them when visiting other halls.

For Academic Year 2024-2025: This is the bathroom inventory for 2024-2025.
