Family Friendly Events
Macalester Reunion offers fun for alumni and their families! While we do not offer childcare, we do have opportunities to make bringing your whole family to Reunion possible. Here are fun opportunities to take advantage of with your family at Reunion.
The Registration Fee is waived for children. In addition, there is discounted meal pricing available for children ages 5 through 12 with no charge for children under the age of 4.
Family Friendly Events at Reunion 2024 inlude:
- All-Class Zero Waste Picnic on the lawn with music and interactive entertainers
- M Club Slingshot Water Balloon Challenge
- Open House creation time in the Idea Lab–Macalester’s Maker Space in the DeWitt Wallace Library
- Read a book in the air-conditioned DeWitt Wallace Library and visit the Wood Room. The Wood Collection of children’s books is a legacy of Macalester’s previous affiliation with the Miss Woods School of Kindergarten and Elementary Education dating back to 1949.
- Walks around campus to share your favorite spaces and memories
- Golf cart rides with favorite staff and faculty members
- …and more!
NOTE: Most class dinners are a time for classmates to reconnect and reminisce. Many alumni choose to not bring their children to the Saturday class dinners. If you are in need of childcare, we encourage you to reach out to your fellow classmates in advance via MacConnect or your class Facebook group if applicable.
