What COVID-19 plans are in place for Macalester Reunion?
In alignment with Macalester’s community of care, for all large events on campus held indoors — including Commencement and Reunion — wearing a high quality mask (e.g., KN95, N95) will be expected. At these events, we strongly encourage attendees to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations; however, they will not be required. We ask that guests who are not up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations have a negative antigen test within 24 hours of attending a campus event. Regardless of vaccination status, anyone with symptoms should not attend.
Macalester’s COVID-19 website includes the college’s most recent updates and communications.

Dietary Restrictions
If you have registered for any meals and have dietary restrictions you have not told us about, please stop by Registration in the Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center, 2nd-floor Atrium or contact [email protected] We do our best to accommodate dietary needs, but being aware of them in advance of the weekend allows us more time to prepare.
Drink Tickets
Drink tickets will be available for purchase in the campus center during posted registration hours as well as at Snacks @ Mac on Friday and the Great Mac Get-Together on Saturday. Tickets may be used at the Thursday night Café Mac Welcome Dinner, Friday night Snacks @ Mac, Saturday night All-Class Dinner, and the Great Mac Get Together on Saturday night. Please note martini tickets are only redeemable at the Great Mac Get Together on Saturday night.
Need a ride?
Golf carts, a.k.a. Alumni Taxis, will be available all weekend to help you get around on campus. Signs will be posted letting you know where you can wait to be picked up or just flag down one of the many carts that will be driving around campus looking for alumni who would like a ride.
Bring your Water Bottle
Due to our sustainability policy to reduce the use of disposable plastic water bottles on campus, bottled water is not available for purchase on campus. We will have water coolers placed throughout campus and also have The Watering Hole, a tent located next to the first-aid tent near the main lawn, with plenty of water for you to refill your water bottle.
How to Dress
Most attendees are business casual for their Friday events and Saturday dinners, but please dress comfortably. Remember June weather is unpredictable in Minnesota. Bring clothes you can layer as necessary.
Weather
In case of rain, outdoor activities will move to their designated rain plan locations as listed in the final reunion schedule. However, some events that occur in the outdoor tent may be moved to an indoor location or canceled due to severe weather (lightning, high winds, tornado watch or warning, etc.). Updates for specific events will be posted in the Ruth Stricker Dayton Campus Center.
Keep up to date with the weather for St. Paul here.
