Digital Liberal Arts

The Digital Liberal Arts initiative at Macalester is a faculty development initiative funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered through the Jan Serie Center for Scholarship and Teaching. Its goals are to provide support and training for faculty and staff who are interested in building proficiency in digital approaches to scholarship and pedagogy, and to sponsor events and courses that expand awareness of such approaches on campus. It pursues these goals by providing a mix of one-on-one consultations, skills workshops, discussion groups, and funding for faculty and staff teams to participate in off-campus opportunities to get advanced training in particular skills that will advance their projects and ideas.
