Resources and Information for New Non-Tenure Track (visiting) Faculty and Postdoctoral Fellows

Welcome to Macalester! We are so pleased to have you here and are grateful for your commitment to Macalester and our students. The Serie Center is committed to supporting you in any way we can.

The Provost and Dean of the Faculty’s website includes extensive information for non-tenure track colleagues. This page includes criteria for and other information about entering the NTT Series, a process intended for long term non-tenure eligible faculty.

All non-tenure-track colleagues are invited to monthly gatherings (typically held over lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month) organized by the Committee on Special Appointment Faculty and sponsored by the Serie Center.

Visiting non-tenure track faculty and postdocs are often on the job market; we have prepared a working draft of resources specifically designed to support colleagues who are seeking permanent employment in academia and related fields.
