Navigating the Transition

  • What will students use Workday for?

    • In Phase One, Student Employees use Workday for tasks including, but not limited to:
      • Applying for campus jobs.
      • Entering hours worked.
      • Entering sick time.
      • Updating personal information, direct deposit, and tax withholding elections. 
      • Viewing payslips.
    • In Phase Two, all students will use Workday for tasks  including, but not limited to: 
      • Planning academic schedules and registering for classes.
      • Reviewing degree plans and academic history.
      • Viewing and paying tuition and fees.

If you are also a student employee

  • What will I do in Workday as a student employee?

    You will mainly use Workday to apply for campus jobs, enter your time, view your pay information, and complete any required onboarding or learning tasks.

  • Will Workday change how I track my hours?

    Yes. You will enter your hours directly in Workday instead of using Timeclock Plus or separate tools. The person who approves your time will also use Workday to review and approve your time.

  • How will I see if my time and pay are correct?

    You will be able to see submitted and approved time in Workday and view your payslips once they are available.

  • How will I find and apply for campus jobs?

    Starting in June 2026, campus jobs will be posted on a student job board in Workday, where you can set up alerts and apply to one or more jobs from your computer or mobile device.

    Training resources will be made available through Student Employment and in Workday.

  • How will I enter my hours worked?

    Starting in June 2026, any hours worked will be submitted through Workday.

    Training resources will be made available through Student Employment and in Workday. Your supervisor will also have access to the training materials.
