She/Her

Hello! My name is Jinna and I use she/her pronouns. I joined the Career Exploration team in 2021 as the Internship Program Manager.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Scripps College in Claremont, CA. I held multiple jobs on campus (juggling up to four in a semester!). My favorite by far was working at The Motley Coffeehouse as a barista and on the management team.

I did not have any official internships while in college, but I did gain work experience through an organization that managed volunteer groups across the U.S. I spent summers in Lynn, MA, Eagle Butte, SD, and Williamson, WV. These were immensely formative experiences, both professionally and personally.

I dual-majored in American Studies and French. This led me to spending two post-grad years in northern France as an English teaching assistant. I thought I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember, but my time abroad showed me that teaching was not the right career path for me. It was invaluable to discover this before I had pursued any additional schooling! Today, I’m grateful to work in the world of education without being directly in the classroom.

A few things that give me joy outside of Mac are long runs with a great podcast, killer boxing classes, volunteering at the animal shelter, advance screenings of Marvel movies, and Trader Joe’s.
