She/Her

My name is Liz and I use she/her pronouns. I love working with students as they face new challenges and develop new skills!

I was the first person in my family to go to college. I struggled with the application process, had no understanding of financial aid, and didn’t know I was supposed to apply for housing. With help from my family, friends, and college staff members, I eventually made it to my campus, enjoyed my overall experience as a science major and student-athlete, and diligently followed the checklist of required courses to eventually earn my degree. However, I never considered professional development as part of my college experience and didn’t know about the resources available on campus to help me plan for the next phase. I’ve since learned more about what I missed during those years which inspires my work with students today. We are here to walk with you as you navigate your undergraduate journey, search for exciting development opportunities, and plan for post-graduation life!

My professional journey has involved many chapters within education, always with a focus to improve access and equity in educational spaces. I am passionate about supporting those who hold marginalized identities and have historically been excluded from higher education. I love student-facing work, where I have the opportunity to co-create plans and goals that honor each individual’s intersecting identities and values. My professional journey also informs my current work with students. Careers can be nonlinear and include many different positions over time. I believe each and every experience will present valuable lessons, skills, and people that will positively impact your professional and personal development.

In my spare time, I love to support my 2 teenage sons in their various activities. I find serenity in the pool, on my bike, and on the local cross-country ski trails. I love a good road trip with my family and am a woefully committed fan of Minnesota sports teams.
