Internships are a great way to learn outside of a classroom. They allow you to explore career options, try on different work environments, develop new skills and earn experience. Macalester students may receive academic credit for supervised internships in addition to paid and summer opportunities. Consult with your academic adviser about the type of work that might be right for you. Recent Classics majors have enjoyed positions at The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Ramsey County Historical Society, Science Museum of Minnesota, Children’s Museum of Minnesota, and Nova Classical Academy.
Classics majors pursue a wide variety of careers and interests after Macalester.

The Macalester Internship Office and the Career Development Center maintain a database of internship and job opportunities. Just a few of the options are listed here. Current Macalester students and alumni can access these opportunities using the MC2 Job and Internship portal.
