Sam Wegner

Sam joined the CEC in 2022, having previously worked in youth enrichment programs, direct social service, and environmental community organizations. He manages the Community Engagement Organizers (CEO) program, serves as Macalester’s Campus Vote Coordinator for election cycles and broader civic engagement, and works with the Bonner Leadership Team (BLT) and Program Assistants to coordinate experiential learning opportunities, service projects, and community-building activities for the full Macalester Bonner cohort.

In his free time, you can catch Sam visiting any number of beloved restaurants across the metro, gushing about his two cats, extolling the virtues of riding Metro Transit, or running along the Mississippi.
